Weekly Update
SCHOOL LITURGY- On Wednesday, March 24, 2010, the Intermediate students will be attending the school liturgy at 8:45 a.m. in the LOWER BASILICA. Grade 6, Mrs. Freeman’s class, will plan the liturgy.
PERFORMING ARTS CLUB will meet on Monday, March 22nd from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.
JR. HIGH LIVING STATIONS PRACTICE will be held on Tuesday, March 23rd from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
CHOIR MEMBERS will meet on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in school.
NEWSPAPER CLUB will meet on Thursday, March 25, 2010, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
BELL CHOIR FOR GRADES 1 & 2 will meet on Friday, March 26, 2010, from 7:45 to 8:15 a.m.
JUMP ROPE CLUB will be held on Thursday, March 25th from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m.
AMBASSADORS OF PEACE MEETING will be held on Wednesday, March 24th from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m.
OPEN REGISTRATION FOR PRESCHOOL, KINDERGARTEN, AND NEW STUDENTS FOR GRADES 1-7 (2010-2011) is now in progress. A child registering for Preschool must be 4 years old by October 1, 2010, and a child registering for Kindergarten must be 5 years old by October 1, 2010.
RECOMMEND A NEW FAMILY-Anyone recommending a new family that registers a child will have a $100. credit towards your workbook fee.
RE-REGISTRATION FORMS FOR 2010-2011 school year were sent home with the students on, Thursday, Feb. 4th. We ask that you kindly return them as soon as possible together with the $60. re-registration fee per family. Your cooperation is needed so that we can accurately plan for new incoming students in all grade levels. We also need to know, as soon as possible, who is not returning to our school for the 2010-2011school year.
UNIFORM SLACKS-Primary and Intermediate girls may wear their grey uniform slacks until March 31, 2010.
ST. STANISLAUS SCHOOL LIVE AND SILENT AUCTION will take place on March 27, 2010. The cost of admission is $5.00 for adults and $1.00 for students which will include complimentary Tea Cup Raffle tickets. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Tickets are available through the school office.
FIRST COMMUNION DVD ORDERS-We are again offering the First Communion 2010 DVD’s. Cost is $40.00 each. If you would like to order one, please fill out the form below and return it to school, together with the cash or check payable to VP Media. The DVD’s will be delivered to the school about 4 weeks after First Communion in May.

ATTIRE INFORMATION FOR FIRST COMMUNION CHILDREN:
Boys: Navy blue suit; white shirt; navy blue or white tie; dark shoes & socks.
Girls: White dress; veil or headpiece; white tights, knee highs or anklets; white shoes. (No gloves, purses, rosaries, or prayer books). Communion dresses may be purchased at local department stores.
THE 15TH ANNUAL ST. STANISLAUS SCHOOL GOLF OUTING is scheduled for Sunday, June 13, 2010, at the Wyckoff Country Club in Holyoke with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. This is a fun event, for golfers of all skill levels. And, if you cannot join us for golf, you are encouraged to come for the social hour and dinner that evening to enjoy great food supplied by the Log Cabin. For this event to be truly successful, we need to have golfers, sponsors, and supporters. We strongly encourage you to actively seek out businesses or individuals who may be willing to support our school through this golf outing. Feel free to contact the committee, and we will contact a business or individual, if you are hesitant to do so. We have 14 years of history with this event. LET’S ALL WORK TOGETHER FOR IT TO CONTINUE TO GROW. Soon we will be distributing the registration and promotional flyers. GIFT CERTIFICATES for Stop & Shop, Big Y, Fruit Fair, and Arnold’s are available for sale during regular school hours in our school office.
MOHEGAN SUN –Experience Mohegan Sun with us on Sunday, April 11, 2010. $25.00 per person includes $10. meal voucher and two $10. betting vouchers, plus a bonus package. Bus leaves St. Stanislaus School at 7:30 a.m. and returns to Chicopee around 4:30 p.m. Contact St. Stan’s at 592-5135 for more information. Please make checks payable to St. Stanislaus School. Name and telephone # requested at time of payment. Seats are filled on a first come first serve basis.
ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION:
- Please check out the new Athletic Association link on the school website. We will continue to provide Athletic Association updates each week on the website.
- Congratulations to the Grade 3 Boys basketball team for a great season this year. The Grade 3 Boys team, coached by Pat Clay, was inadvertently omitted from acknowledgement at the Basketball Banquet last Saturday. We look forward to their continued success next season.
- Thank you to all those who attended and especially all those who worked at the Basketball Banquet last weekend. It was a fun evening for everyone with great food and great music, despite the omission listed above.
- CONGRATULATIONS GRADE 8 BOYS CYO BASKETBALL CHAMPIONS !!!!!!
The Grade 8 Boys basketball team, coached by Mark Baran and Cliff Kibbe, completed their season on Tuesday evening by winning the CYO championship game. Join us in congratulating the team on
a fantastic season and a great end to their St. Stan's basketball career.
- Basketball Shirts and Shorts: Please remember to return your basketball shirts and shorts to the school as soon as possible. A $15 fee will be assessed for all shirts and shorts that are not returned by May 15th.
- Grades 1 - 8 Baseball and Softball registrations are underway. Please send the registration forms to school as soon as possible. The season will start with practices some time in April. Kindergarten registration will take place in April.
LOOKING AHEAD:
Thursday, April 1, 2010, is a half day of school with dismissal of ALL students at 11:30 a.m. Please note that there is NO PreSchool at all that day. Afterschool Program is also cancelled.

2010-2011 KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION NOTE - If you have a child attending St. Stanislaus School now and have a child of kindergarten age and intend to register him/her for the September 2010 Kindergarten class, please complete the form below and return it to school. Registration materials will be sent home when they are available. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CHILD MUST BE 5 YEARS OLD BY OCTOBER 1, 2010. Registration will begin at the Open House on Sunday, January 31, 2010. When registration materials along with the $60.00 family registration fee are received, the child will be officially enrolled.
