MYSTERY DINNER THEATER FUNDRAISER SATURDAY, MAY 3, 2008-The St. Stanislaus School Board presents “Mystery on the Range” performed by the Brick Road Productions on May 3, 2008 at the St. Stanislaus School Cafeteria. The family friendly evening begins with a social hour and a complimentary beverage at 5:30 p.m. and the sit-down dinner at 6:30 p.m.
MAY 9TH TEACHER IN-SERVICE DAY –Students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 9th because of an In-Service day for teachers. Since all staff members must attend this workshop, there WILL NOT be any AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM on that day. Also, NO SCHOOL FOR PRESCHOOL STUDENTS ON May 9th.
--Saturday, May 3, 2008 is “Jesus Day”. The First Communion students are to meet in school by 8:30 a.m. and are to bring a bag lunch. Drinks & snacks will be provided. The children will be dismissed at 2:45 p.m.
--Monday, May 5th -OPTIONAL Individual Portraits beginning at 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the School Library.
--Saturday, May 10th-First Communion Liturgy at 11:00 a.m. The children will meet in school (their
classroom) rain or shine, by 10:15 a.m. A group picture will be taken in church immediately after the Mass in front of the altar.
SAN DAMIANO YOUTH BAKE SALE will be held after all Masses this weekend at the St. Stanislaus Basilica. Baked goods and pierogi will be available for sale. Please help our young people get to Sydney.
HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION BOARD MEETING will be held on Monday, May 5th at 7:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Come join us as we plan for next year.
SCHOOL BOARD MEETING will be held on Tuesday, May 6th at 7:00 p.m. in the school library.
MOTHER’S DAY PLANT SALE will be held on Friday, May 9th during school hours. Your children will be able to buy Mom or “special person” beautiful outdoor plants for $2.00 each. Parents who volunteered to wrap the plants should report to the school cafeteria on Thursday, May 8th at 6:30 p.m. Parents who volunteered to help with the sale during school hours should report to the school office at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, May 9th. If your child is purchasing plants, please place the money in an envelope labeled. “PLANT SALE’ with the child’s name, grade, number of plants requested and amount of money enclosed. Thank you for your cooperation.
JR. YOUTH MINISTRY DANCE will be held on Saturday, May 10th from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.
MAY CROWNING will be held at school on Monday, May 12th at 1:45 p.m. The school children will process from the school to the church where a brief service will be held. They will then proceed outside to crown the Statue of Mary in front of the Friary. In inclement weather the crowning will be held inside the church.
FAIRVIEW MARKET DELI FUNDRAISER is scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 193 Fairview Avenue, Chicopee. Certificates must be presented to the Deli at the time of payment so that 20% of your check can be donated to the St. Stanislaus School. These certificates will be going home with your child shortly.
MOHEGAN SUN-Experience Mohegan Sun with us on Sunday, May 18, 2008. $25.00 per person includes $l0. meal voucher and two $10. betting vouchers, plus a Bonus package. THE ST. STANISLAUS SCHOOL BOARD 2008 GOLF TOURNAMENT will be held at the Wyckoff Country Club on Sun., June 22, 2008. The fee for the golf outing is $125. We have available “Certificates for Golf” which entitles the recipient to golf in the tournament, to use a cart, and to lunch and dinner. $300. GAS CARD RAFFLE to benefit the San Damiano World Youth Day Group of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus will be held on May 25 after the 12:00 p.m. Mass. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the parish or school office for $5.00 each.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL for all Catholic schools in Chicopee is Friday, June 13, 2008 (a full day).
ST. STAN’S ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION NEWS- Park Cleanup Day—to be held Saturday, May 3rd, 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. St. Stan’s Athletic Assoc. has been assigned the IKE ALPERT PARK (Brooks Field), Beauchamp Terrace, Chicopee. ALL coaches and players for the St. Stan’s Baseball/Softball Teams are expected to help. Please bring your own rakes and brooms. Lunch will be served at 12:00 noon at the Chicopee Public Library on Front Street, to all that helped. This is an annual event to help clean up the parks before the start of the Baseball/Softball season. Even if you can only give an hour of your time, it will be appreciated. The more people that help, the quicker it will get done.
