Music:
The final objective of this class is to make all students musically literate. Writing and reading music can be achieved by laying down the fundamentals of notes, rests and their values in the lower grades, and gradually building on that foundation with key signatures, time signatures and scales in grades four, five, and size. The upper grades will be introduced to expression marks, keys in sharps and flats, and two-part harmony.
