Hi every one, hope you had a nice summer.
The objectives for fall 2007 Art class
The visual art curriculum at the St Stanislaus School involves students
in creativity.Students will have the chance to use many types of
textures and art media. The students will be instructed on how to use
art elements which include line, shape, color, form, texture, space, and
value. Then they will be introduced to the art principles which include
rhythm, pattern, balance, emphasis, harmony, variety, and unity
throughout the year. All of these will be incorporated into their art
projects.
In 4th grade the students will be learning how to draw caricatures and
their movement. We will also be working with textures.
In 5th grade the students will be learning the elements rhythm, pattern,
and balance.We will also be working with textures.
In 6th grade the students will be learning how to draw self portraits,
and still life.We will also be working with other medium.
In 7th grade the students will be learning how to work with different
types of textures incorporating the elements of art.
In 8th grade the students will be learning about artists and making some
of the works of artists, using many types of medium.
All of the class work will be based on the Massachusetts Curriculum
Standards.
All grades will be responsible for an art project as a final grade the
second term. Information will be given out at the beginning of the year.
