Letter from the Administrators

Welcome to St. Stanislaus School, located in Chicopee, within the Diocese of Springfield, Massachusetts.

The theme we have chosen for the 2009-2010 school year is “God’s Design for Life” . This year’s theme challenges us to be welcoming and accepting of others.  We recognize that each person has been created by God and together we are greater than the sum of our parts.  When we come together as a community sharing our unique gifts and talents we help to make St. Stan’s a better place.  We can encourage and inspire one another by our words, actions and choices each day creating the tapestry of life. 

St. Paul in his letter to the Corinthians states, “There are different gifts but the same Spirit; there are different ministries but the same God accomplishes all of them in everyone.  To each person the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.  It is one and the same Spirit who produces all these gifts distributing them to each as he wills.” God has designed and created each of us differently to provide for variety and unity for the greater good.  When we share the fullness of our gifts we create a beautiful tapestry that only God in His infinite wisdom could design as he plans for each of us a future full of hope. 

In looking at what is the tapestry of the St. Stanislaus School community we recognize that students, staff, parents, grandparents, parishioners, and benefactors are all part of God’s design that brings this school to life and sustains the successful, quality Catholic education we provide here. Each day is an opportunity for us to open our hearts to our neighbor and to invite those around us to join us in our efforts to work for the common good.

St. Stan’s seeks to provide an atmosphere of excellence that challenges children to develop to their fullest potential.  St. Stan’s, nurtures your child in a safe, family-friendly environment that educates children in faith and academics.

 The reputation and success of St. Stanislaus School rests, in large measure, on your concern and involvement.  We need the cooperation of parents, teachers, students, and staff to provide a meaningful and satisfying experience for your child.  Our school, from its foundation, has stressed academic excellence…in this there is no compromise or change.  Over the years, the spirit and tradition that is our school have played a key role in shaping the educational experience. Our school can take pride in its highly qualified and dedicated faculty and staff.  As educators, we view education as a partnership between home and school.
